If you are at least 21 years old and looking for a solution for mild-to-moderate skin laxity (sagging) or stubborn submental fat (double chin), you may be a great candidate for RF skin tightening. That being said, it’s important to go into treatment with clear, realistic expectations. We’ll help you decide if FaceTite or AccuTite is the best option for you during your consultation.
While both technologies use radiofrequency energy, they’re designed for different purposes. Typically, we use FaceTite to treat broader areas, like the cheeks and jawline, and AccuTite for smaller, more delicate areas, like around the eyes.
With no incisions or extended downtime, these technologies provide a natural yet noticeable lifting and contouring effect. However, they require a skilled hand. Our providers will help you choose the safest, most effective treatment for you, which may include a combination of FaceTite and AccuTite.
Avoid using blood thinners, NSAIDs, retinol, tretinoin, and vitamin C products the week before your appointment to minimize bruising. You should also refrain from abrasive treatments like waxing, tweezing, and chemical peels to minimize skin irritation.
Most patients experience minor swelling, tenderness, and tightness for a few days after treatment. As your skin heals, do not rub or apply pressure to the area. Avoid lying flat for 4 hours after treatment and do not exercise, apply makeup or skincare products, or expose your skin to intense heat for 24 hours.
Before you leave our office, we’ll walk you through the exact steps you should take to encourage healing so you feel confident walking out. Over the next 1 to 6 months, you’ll notice gradual improvements that can last for years.
We kindly request at least 24 hours’ notice for any appointment cancellations or rescheduling. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as no-show appointments, will be charged a $50 cancellation fee.
